Former, and potentially future, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist is facing an ethics complaint.

Crist - who is running for governor again, this time as a Democrat - was the subject of a complaint filed by the Sarasota Republican Party, according to partner newspaper the Tampa Bay Times.

Sarasota Republican Party Chairman Joe Gruters filed the complaint, saying Crist misrepresented his financial relationship with a real estate and timber firm in the Panhandle.

The complaint also criticizes Crist for not reporting income from his consulting company.

Crist spokesman Kevin Cate called the complaint "another pathetic flail" from Gov. Rick Scott's re-election campaign.
