Dunedin is known for its Scottish heritage but it also has a juicy history. Dunedin held its annual orange festival on Saturday.

Along with tons of the famous fruit, there were all kinds of activities and entertainment, including live music, duck derby races, and even a beer pong tournament.

But the focus of the festival was of course the oranges.

"That's one of the reasons why we have the Dunedin Orange Festival, because of the ties to the citrus industry which is fantastic,” said Marsha Goins. “You know the groves were here, the citrus concentrate, frozen concentrate, was developed here. But we've kind of gotten away from that, and not only do we have a rich Scottish culture, but we have the rich history of the citrus industry."

The Dunedin Orange Festival was first held in 2010 and continues to grow bigger each year.
