Red light cameras will stay in the city of Bradenton for at least another two years.

The Bradenton City Council just extended its contract with ACS, the provider of the city's red light cameras, for two more years.

The Florida Supreme Court has recently ruled that cameras installed before 2010 violate state law and that people who received tickets before then could be entitled to reimbursement.

However, Bradenton City Clerk Carl Callahan said the legal process continues and will likely continue for quite some time, and that he doubts the city will reimburse anyone before there is a resolution in court.
