Deputies are investigating a shooting that left one man dead in Gibsonton.
The shooting happened shortly after 11 p.m. inside a home in the 11200 block of Inglewood Dr.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office, someone called 911 at 11:20 p.m. to report that a man had been shot. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found the body of Andrew Edie, 48, in the home.
Investigators later said a woman who said she was in the house at the time of the shooting said at least one suspect knocked on the front door. When Edie answered the door, he was shot once in the upper body, deputies said.
Deputies said the shooting doesn't appear to be random and the motive appears to be drug-related.
The investigation continues.
