A pair of Citrus County teenagers came home winners from the 2014 High School Fishing World Finals in Arkansas last weekend.

Brandon Branch, an 18-year-old graduate of Crystal River High School, and Hunter McPherson, a 17-year-old Citrus High junior, represented the Eagle High 4-H Club. They topped a field of 118 high school teams in the four-day bass fishing competition on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Ark.

The two received a $4,000 college scholarship and each received a 50-inch flat screen television, $500 in Cabela’s gift cards and world championship trophies.
