Showers and storms started early at the coast and became heavier in the afternoon, then tapered off in the evening on Friday.

Two funnel clouds were spotted over Tampa Bay. One around 5 p.m. over Hillsborough Bay and another at 6:50 p.m. near the Howard Frankland.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Diane Kacmarik, scattered storms will taper off and not be as widespread this evening, but showers and storms will still be possible just about anywhere at least through midnight.

Rain chances will dip to about 30 degrees Saturday and Sunday.
