The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is offering residents what they are calling a safer way to complete internet transactions.
The Sheriff's Office has designated two parking spaces at the Sheriff's Operations Center at 600 301 Boulevard West as "Safe Sales Spaces."
The spaces will allow for people conducting internet purchases and cash transactions to complete the deals in front of the operations center.
The idea stems from a similar idea in use in Hillsborough County often used for parental exchanges of children in custody cases.
