Bay area residents will experience another hot and humid day Monday.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez, there are some scattered showers in the Gulf of Mexico this morning moving into parts of Tampa Bay.

"It’s very warm, with high humidity this morning, thanks to an onshore wind," Marquez said. "Rain chances are about 20 percent for Tampa Bay and 30 percent in our northern counties. The west winds will increase, making it breezy this afternoon."

Skies will be partly sunny with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s. A few showers and thunderstorms will be moving east.

Rain chances will jump to about 50 percent on Tuesday as a cold front moves to north Florida.
