Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is celebrating August -- Family Fun Month -- with a sizzling summer offer of free weekday admission for members of the U.S. military (active duty, retirees and veterans) and Florida-based first responders.

That includes Florida-based public safety services: law enforcement officers (state troopers, sheriffs, police officers, homeland security agents and 911 dispatchers), firefighters, and emergency medical technicians (EMTs).

To take advantage of the offer, the military member or first responder will need to register online at www.LowryParkZoo.org/Hero, print a voucher and present with valid identification at the Zoo’s ticket windows for entrance on any weekday during the month of August. The voucher is valid for the military member or first responder plus one free guest. The voucher recipient may also purchase up to four additional one-day admissions at half off (adult or child) at the Zoo’s ticket windows for use the same day.

Military dependents may take advantage of the offer without their service member present, though an adult with a valid military I.D. must accompany minors.

See www.LowryParkZoo.org/Hero for full details.
