A banned book is back on the eighth grade summer reading list at a Florida middle school.

The book, "Paper Towns" by John Green, disappeared from the list earlier this summer after a parent's complaint about sexual content and language. The Tampa Bay Times reports the book is now back on the reading list at Dr. John Long Middle School.

Pasco County schools Superintendent Kurt Browning faced threats of legal action from various censorship groups after the book was deleted.

District spokeswoman Linda Cobb says it was the school's decision to remove and now replace the book.

The district's police regarding objections to books provides for a detailed review process that allows for many views to be considered. It also allows for time for appeals.
