After a slightly cooler start to the day, Bay area residents are experiencing another hot afternoon, this time with low rain chances.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez, skies will be partly sunny with lower humidity for the remainder of the day.

"There's a cold front slowly dropping south of Tampa Bay bringing the dry air," Marquez said. "Our temperatures will still be high, but we will enjoy some lower humidity."

Afternoon temperatures will approach 92 to 94 degrees. Rain chances will remain low during the next two days: 10 percent today and 20 percent Thursday.

Rain chances will pick up by the weekend.
