An 85-year-old woman was killed in a pedestrian crash Thursday morning.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Anna Caporimo of Holiday was attempting to cross Alt US 19 just north of Louis Avenue at 9:30 a.m. when she was struck by a Dodge Caravan.
She was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point with critical injuries. She later died.
The driver of the vehicle, 71-year-old Phyllis Townsend attempted to stop but could not avoid Caporimo.
Townsend, of New Port Richey, was not injured.
