Firefighters responded Monday to a report of an explosion and a fire at the Duke Energy Hines Energy Complex in Fort Meade.

According to Polk County Fire Rescue, crews were dispatched to the facility on County Road 555 at about 3 p.m.

Officials said the fire was near high-pressure steam lines and a 5,000-gallon lube oil tank, but firefighters were able to contain the blaze before it could cause any further danger.

No one was injured in the fire. All Duke Energy employees are accounted for, officials said.

There is no word as to the cause of the fire.
