The for-profit educator Corinthian Colleges plans to sell all 10 of its Everest College campuses in Florida, including four in the Tampa Bay area, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Local campuses are in Tampa, Brandon, Largo and Lakeland. The sale is part of a deal to resolve issues between the U.S. Department of Education and financially burdened Corinthian.

Corinthian was under investigation by Florida Attorney General and other state attorneys general following allegation the colleges inflated job placement numbers, grades and attendance records for promotion purposes.
