Jordan Johnston and Dakota Harwood, both 17, met freshman year of high school. Their 4-month-old son Jaysen was unexpected, but a miracle nonetheless.

Holding him in their arms now, the couple said it's been a nightmare since they almost lost him in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday in Holiday. The family had been walking home from the park at the time and Jaysen was sent flying out of the stroller.

"When I got hit, the first thing to go was my leg," said Harwood. "t got dragged underneath the car. My shoes were all torn up. I was on the floor, I got straight up and ran right to him."

Jaysen was rushed to the hospital and so were his parents.

Luckily, they all escaped with just minor injuries and are recovering back at home.

Both Johnston and Harwood, who are engaged, said they are now hoping for a call from police to let them know they driver that almost killed them has been caught.

"It's so heartless," Harwood said.  "I mean, you see me and a 4-month-old baby just laying on the floor bleeding, and you just leave us there."

Anyone with information on the driver, who is described as a younger man in a blue Ford Crown Victoria, should call FHP immediately.
