Ken Littlefield is running as a Republican for the District 2 seat on the Pasco County Commission.

1. Why are you running for this office?

I want to be to be involved in the policy-making process of this county, where I have lived and worked for almost 35 years. If you have good policy (rules for action), then you will have good ordinances. If you have good ordinances, you will have good rules and regulation. It all begins with policy.

I have experience in policy making. I want to put those policy-making tools to work to craft policy that will promote, protect and ensure our unique quality of
life here in Pasco. A policy that will offer an exciting and secure future for all of us living and working in Pasco County.

2. Why do you think you are the best qualified candidate for the office?

EXPERIENCE. My background in public relations, business management, the legislative process, the regulatory process, administrative skills and my community involvement over the years have prepared me with the background needed to serve as a Pasco County Commissioner.

I am not only qualified to serve in this capacity but when compared with the experience of the other candidates, I am uniquely qualified.

3. If you are elected, what will be your top priorities?

I want to make sure that we are successful in dealing with the delicate balance of creating the environment for a robust economy while protecting our green spaces and our quality of life.

I am committed to responsible growth management which includes making sure that every permit granted has provision for services and maintenance built into the plan.

We must provide fertile soil and a healthy investment climate in which new and innovative ideas can germinate and grow.

We must also guard against the pervasive investment-strangling kind of regulation that creates a fog of uncertainty. Investment hates uncertainty.
