The Tampa Bay Buccaneers held a practice Friday night, giving fans a glimpse of what the team looks like under new head coach Lovie Smith.

Before the practice, players and coaches took time to sign autographs and interact with fans.

Tom Woods and his 4-year-old son, Jordan, drove to Tampa from Spring Hill for the event.

"I can't wait, I can't wait," said Woods as he waited in line to meet the players. "I couldn't even sleep last night."

Woods said he's been a Bucs fan since he was 7 years old. He brought along a cap and jersey hoping to get a few autographs.

"I'll take whatever I can get," he joked. "I'd take them home with me if I could."

Many people in the crowd said they've been Bucs fans for years.

"We've been fans since the old sombrero days, so we're hoping for a good year. We're so happy Lovie is here," said Ingrid Oats.

One fan, Marcus Preston, even took a moment to offer player Oniel Cousins some advice.

"My son plays for Eastern Michigan and I was just telling him that my son told me to tell him to keep grinding and he'd probably make it," said Preston. "He's pretty good."

Traci Clayborn was another proud parent in the crowd. Her son, Adrian, plays for the Bucs and she's been at practice every day.

"Oh I'm very proud to see him make it to this level," said Clayborn. "I still pinch myself."

Woods and his son got what they came for. They left with a few autographs and memories to last a lifetime.

"It was awesome, he said. "I can't believe I met Buccaneers players, that's so awesome. I can't wait for the season!"
