Residents of a Ridge Manor apartment complex may have to find a new place to live.
The Ridge Manor Garden Apartments sit near the intersection of Cortez and Treiman boulevards. However, developers want to build a new Dollar General there.
According to our partners at the Tampa Bay Times, the Hernando County Planning and Zoning Commission voted Monday to recommend the site be rezoned.
Tenants who are upset about the move spoke out against the plan.
A representative for the developer told the commission they would encourage the landlord to help tenants find new homes.
The Hernando County Commission still needs to vote on the zoning recommendation before any of this moves forward.
