The Citrus County School Board is listening to parents' concerns about over-the-counter medications.

The school district recently implemented a policy that requires students to have a doctor's note before bringing anything considered a medication to school, including cough drops, sunscreen and even Chapstick.

According to our partners at the Citrus County Chronicle, parents went to Tuesday's school board meeting to express concerns about the new rules.

The board promised to come up with a common-sense solution.
