Wednesday's heat had people around the Bay area trying to find ways to keep cool.

Some of them found relief at the new Water Works Park in Tampa.

"I'm not hot though, feel really good," said Raquel Hodges after getting dumped with water at the park.

Others kept their own water bottles handy.

"It's kind of a rough day to move in," said senior Alyssa Hingre as she helped freshmen move in at the University of Tampa. Hingre kept a water bottle in her hand as she directed families outside.

Having water on hand was essential Wednesday. In most spots, the heat index hit 105 degrees.

"Yes, it's very hot," said Tasha Rennels.

But not everyone had a problem with sweating.

"I'm kind of strange," said Matt Rennels, "I kind of like the heat. I went for a run last night. I'm a little bizarre."
