Pre-election day voter turnout in Hillsborough County is higher than it was for the 2010 and 2012 primaries.

As of 10 a.m. Monday, the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office had (unofficially) received more than 75,839 ballots. The breakdown was 56,438 by mail and 19,401 through early voting.

Fewer people opted to cast ballots through early voting than in the last two primaries, but the total was higher than in 2010 and 2012 when combining mail ballots and early voting.

Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Voters must cast their ballots in their assigned precinct on Election Day.
