Police on Sunday arrested a Spring Hill man they say pointed a rifle at two people who intervened in a fight between him and his girlfriend in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

According to Brooksville police, officers were called to the Wal-Mart store at 7205 S Broad Street around 1 p.m. Witnesses told them a man later identified as Bradley Cordara Jermaine Mobley and his girlfriend got into an argument and that the girlfriend started walking away.

When another man and woman asked Mobley's girlfriend if she needed help, Mobley drove by and pointed "what appeared to be an assault-style rifle" at them, police said.

Mobley's girlfriend then walked from the front of the Wal-Mart toward a Sonic restaurant. As the other man followed her to make sure she would be OK, Mobley pointed the rifle at him and told him to not get involved, police said.

Mobley was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
