The YMCA of Manatee County has partnered with the Police Athletic League to create a new, larger youth football league.

Both groups are excited about the opportunities this will create for children in the program.

"Manatee PAL is very pleased to have this opportunity on this collaboration with the YMCA,” said PAL Chief Operating Officer Chuck Hagaman. "Through this cooperative partnership both organizations can better serve the community, giving more kids an opportunity for unique personal experiences they will remember for a lifetime."

PAL serves almost 900 children in the county. The league offers sports activities ranging from football, cheerleading, and basketball, to boxing, summer camp, and inline hockey.
