Deputies said a Tampa man suspected of killing another man last month has turned himself into authorities.

Clayton Adrian White, 24, is facing first-degree murder charges in the death of 48-year-old Andrew Edie.

Edie was shot and killed July 16 inside a home on Inglewood Drive in Gibsonton.

Investigators said a witness told them a suspect knocked on the door, and when Edie answered the door, he was shot once in the upper body. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

At the time, deputies said the motive appeared to be drug-related. They have not released any further information about a possible motive.

White turned himself into the Hillsborough County Jail, where he remains without bond.
