Dozens attend event to discuss St. Pete waterfront plans

City staff and a consultant team met with residents to decide what should be done to St. Petersburg's downtown waterfront.

During a kickoff event for the project, dozens of people showed up to hear plans and weigh in on what they want to see. Topics discussed included everything from boat access to public art.

Residents also got to hear the next steps in the public process which will include a series of community meetings and walking surveys of the waterfront.
