An Ellenton woman has died from injuries she sustained last week in a crash on U.S. 41 om Apollo Beach.

Judith M. Lewis, 74, had been in Tampa General Hospital since Aug. 21, when she was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash. She succumbed to her injuries on Monday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Herbert H. Lewis, 78, was in the northbound lanes of U.S. 41, and attempting to make a left turn onto Apollo Beach Boulevard, when he turned into the path of an oncoming 2006 Chevrolet Silverado.

The Silverado hit the passenger side of Lewis' Oldsmobile, where Judith Lewis was sitting, investigators said.

Herbert H. Lewis was ticketed for violating a right-of-way in the crash.
