CSX has signed on as a sponsor of Dade City's annual Kumquat Festival.
In the past few months, there have been some bad feelings between the railroad company and Dade City, as trains have stopped on the tracks twice in the middle of town.
CSX blamed federal rules about crew shifts for the stops, which blocked roads and snarled traffic.
According to our partners at the Tampa Bay Times, CSX has now agreed to sponsor the Kumquat Festival, which is the biggest yearly event in Dade City. CSX calls it a way to support the community.
The festival is scheduled for Jan. 31.
