The former assistant principal at Manatee High School convicted of failing to report child abuse wants a new trial.
Gregg Faller was convicted in June of a misdemeanor count of failure to report child abuse. He was one of several school administrators put on trial in connection with the Roderick Frazier case.
Frazier, a former assistant coach at Manatee High School, was accused of inappropriately touching students and faculty. He was convicted of four misdemeanor counts of battery and two counts of interfering with a student's attendance.
According to our partners at the Bradenton Herald, Faller's attorney filed a motion of acquittal and a motion for a new trial. There is no word as to when a judge might rule on those motions.
