Rain showers will return to the Bay area today.
There will be increasing clouds today with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Showers moved through the northern parts of the Bay area early Tuesday.
"With lots of moisture in place and a cold front moving into north Florida, our rain chances will be high through tonight and tomorrow," said according to Bay News 9 meteorologist Josh Linker.
Rain chances are 50 percent today thanks to an approaching front.
"As the front moves south of us by Thursday, the rain chances will go way down. Between tonight and tomorrow, some heavy rain is possible," Linker said.
The rain and cloud cover will keep temperatures slightly lower with highs expected to stay below 90 degrees. The rain chances will stay high on Thursday as well.
