Tropical Storm Dolly is continuing to make its way toward Mexico, less than a day after it developed into a tropical storm.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez, the storm is forecast to push west toward the eastern Mexico coast, where a tropical storm warning is in effect.

It is no threat to Florida.

"Dolly is expected to make landfall tomorrow morning," Marquez said. "And it is expected to stay south of Texas."

According to the 5 p.m. advisory, Dolly is moving toward the west near 12 mph. The storm is expected to continue in this general direction for the next day or so.

On the forecast track, the center of Dolly will approach the coast of Mexico within the warning area by tonight and move inland by Wednesday morning.

Maximum sustained winds are 45 mph with higher gusts. Some slight strengthening is forecast during the next 24 hours until Dolly makes landfall.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 140 miles, mainly northeast through southeast of the center.
