WWE superstar wrestler Thaddeus Bullard, also known as “Titus O’Neil,” has a passion for giving back to the community.
“If I wasn’t in the position I’m in, I would want someone to do it for my children,” said WWE wrestler Thaddeus Bullard.
Bullard helps local children in need, inspires young athletes and even takes the time to mentor at Academy Prep Tampa by helping the students to focus on success.
“Titus pushes me to be a better person because even when I felt like giving up, he wouldn’t let me,” said student Amya Kelly.
“He inspires you and he tells you to go down your path and your dreams and you’ll make it to success,” said student Jasmine Baldwin.
The message Bullard passes on about never giving up, he’s lived it. Bullard grew up poor and said no one expected him to graduate high school. But he beat the odds and graduated from the University of Florida. He then went on to be recognized for his continued work in the community.
“My love to give has nothing to do with publicity,” said Bullard. “It’s truly because there are people that invested in my life at a very early age and continued to pray for me.”
Bullard’s faith plays a big part in who he is today. He says it motivates him to do better and to be a role model for his two sons.
“I don’t want to just be their daddy," said Bullard. "I want to be their hero, because they’re mine.”
Bullard calls being a father an honor and says that’s why he joined the Ad Council’s Fatherhood campaign. He wants others to recognize that they too can impact the children’s lives in a positive manner.
“Sometimes just one person coming to someone saying 'I believe in you' will change your life because that’s what happened to me,” said Bullard.
The next WWE event is set of October 18 at the University Area Community Development Center in Tampa.
