It was a cloudy, rainy day across most of the area Monday due to lingering moisture from an old front that stalled out.

The showers and storms will continue through Tuesday, thanks to a frontal boundary that has stalled across the state north of the Bay area.

"Yet another front is moving toward us which will cause another round of showers/storms to move in from the Gulf for Tuesday," said Bay News 9 Meteorologist Brian McClure. "There will likely be areas with a wet morning commute. That front will also stall out near Tampa Bay Wednesday, which will lead to more rain chances for the rest of the week."

Bay News 9 weather experts is calling for more rain tonight and a 70 percent chance of showers and storms tomorrow.

The rain and cloud cover has kept the temperatures down. At 3:45 p.m, temperatures across west-central Florida were in the low to mid 70s - or 10 to 15 degrees below normal.
