Polk sheriff's deputies need the public’s help in identifying two suspects seen on video surveillance stealing a baby pig.

The pig was stolen from the Agricultural Classes barn at George Jenkins High School, located at 6000 Lakeland Highlands Road in Lakeland.

At 2:47 a.m. on Friday, September 19, two suspects can be seen entering the barn – one of the suspects removes a 60-pound baby pig.

The pig is one of several that are being cared for by agricultural students and used as show pigs in the county fair once they are full-grown.

The suspect who takes the pig is wearing khaki shorts, a blue shirt, and has a blue towel wrapped around his face. His accomplice’s legs can be seen to the left of the video. The suspects were seen leaving in a dark-colored car, unknown make or model.

If anyone has information about this incident or can identify these suspects, they are urged to contact Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS (8477). Anonymity is guaranteed.
