A baby girl died in St. Petersburg on Thursday after her father accidentally ran her over with a sports utility vehicle, police said.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 6:52 p.m. in the 600 block of 13th Avenue South.
Police said Kriziyah Brown was standing behind a Dodge Durango which was parked in the driveway of the home.
Her father Kristian Brown, 22, was backing the vehicle out of the driveway and did not know his daughter was standing behind it, police said.
The vehicle ran over her, unbeknownst to the father who started to drive away until he was informed of the accident by the mother who was standing nearby.
The child died at the scene.
