A grand jury has indicted the suspected killer of four people in Hudson.

Adam Matos has been indicted on four counts of first-degree murder. A suspect in Florida cannot be tried for first-degree murder without an indictment.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Matos, 28, killed his former girlfriend Megan Brown, 27, her new boyfriend Nicholas Leonard, 37, and her parents Margaret and Greg Brown, both 52, earlier this month.

Their bodies were discovered in a field near their Hudson home.

Matos was arrested at a Tampa hotel Sept. 5 after a massive manhunt and is being held at the Land O' Lakes Detention Center on an aggravated assault charge related to an incident that precipitated the murders.

The 4-year-old son Matos and Megan Brown shared, Tristan, was found with Matos at the hotel and is being cared for by his mother's family.

Matos remains in jail in Pasco County without bail.
