A Tampa woman was seriously injured after officials said she ran out in front of an ambulance.
According to reports, the accident, involving 21-year-old Kimberly Tate, happened on Sunday morning at the interstection of Waters Avenue and Hanley Road.
Deputies said there is no crosswalk in the area, but the ambulance did have its light flashing.
Paramedics said they tried to brake but couldn't stop in time.
They got out and started first aid until another ambulance arrived and took Tate to the hospital.
