State College of Florida's Dental Hygiene Clinic is offering discounted dental care.

Services are provided by SCF students under the supervision of licensed dental hygiene instructors and dentists. Services included teeth cleanings, oral examinations, dental X-rays, fluoride and sealants. Fees range from $10 for sealants to $37 for adult complex cleanings. No insurance is required.

SCF’s Dental Hygiene Clinic at SCF Bradenton is located at 5840 26th St. W., building 2.

“Since our students are continuing to expand their skills in preparation for the dental hygiene practice, their services are best suited for patients who are in need of quality, affordable dental care and have flexible schedules to allow for multiple visits,” said SCF Dental Hygiene Program Director Pam Kennard.

SCF dental hygiene students also regularly participate in community service projects for low-income children and families, the school said. In August, about 20 SCF students, instructors and recent graduates provided oral screenings, fluoride applications, education and referrals for 175 homeless or at-risk children at Sarasota Baptist Church.

Clinic hours are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call the SCF Dental Hygiene Clinic at 941-752-5353.
