Four-time world heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield will headline a major fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Hernando County later this month.

Holyfield, also known as the fighter whose ear was bitten by Mike Tyson in a 1997 fight, will be the keynote speaker in an event set for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Palace Grand in Spring Hill. The fundraiser will include a dinner and silent auction.

The youngest of nine children, the "Real Deal" grew up in poverty, and his personal foundation supports underprivileged youth. He has been working with other Boys & Girls Clubs. His appearance will cost the local club $8,000, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The Hernando Boys & Girls Club operates on an annual budget of more than $1 million, the Times reported.
