Tarpon Springs police have confirmed the identity of the body found in the Anclote River.

Crews recovered the body of 50-year-old Jacquelyn Kleplek in the river Tuesday morning, near the location where she went missing a day earlier.

Officials said Kleplek, along with her boyfriend Donald Kish, was in the river when she swam into a deep area and was swept away by the current. Kish was unable to get to her, officials said. He later contacted 911.

Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue responded and then contacted Palm Harbor Fire Rescue Marine Unit to assist.  FWC also responded with a vessel to assist in the search.

Officials resumed their search Tuesday morning, locating Kleplek's body around 8 a.m.

Her body was released to the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner's Office for further examination to determine cause of death.

Foul play is not suspected.
