The walk is being held in memory of Felecia Ann Wintons. Pre-register online or at the park starting at 7:30 a.m.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade
Monday, Jan. 19 at 12 p.m.
Ybor City, Tampa
The annual parade begins at 15th Street and MLK Boulevard, travels east to 22nd Street and ends at Osborne Avenue. Among those participating will be civic walking units, marching bands and floats.
35th Annual Dr. MLK Leadership Breakfast
Monday, Jan. 19 at 6:45-9:45 a.m.
Hilton Hotel, 211 N. Tampa St., Tampa
Guest speaker is Joe Madison, radio personality and former executive director of the Detroit NAACP. Tickets are $35 for individuals and $500 corporate. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time.

30th Annual MLK Drum Major for Justice Leadership Awards Banquet
Friday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m.
St. Petersburg Bayfront Hilton, 333 First St. S, St. Petersburg
The banquet marks the official opening of MLK week in Florida. The keynote speaker will be Clifton Davis and gospel recording artist Derek Smith will perform. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased at the Enoch Davis Center and Looking Good Men's Fashions.

Tomlinson Park, Gulfport
Residents, businesses and civic organizations will join together for a morning of volunteer work. After the project is completed, volunteers can enjoy an appreciation picnic to be held in the park.
30th Annual MLK Drum Major for Justice National Battle of the Bands and Drumline Extravaganza
Sunday, Jan. 18 at 4 p.m.
Tropicana Field, 1 Tropicana Dr. S, St. Petersburg
The event features high school and college marching bands. General admission tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the gate. Premier VIP access is $15. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster, Tropicana Field Box Office, Enoch Davis Center, Norvell Quick Market and Looking Good Men's Fashions.

The featured speaker is Dr. Ray Arsenault, author and civil rights activist, who wrote "Freedom Riders: 1961 and the Struggle for Racial Justice." Choir music will be provided by the Alumni Singers, and there will also be refreshments and dialogue. The service is hosted by the St. Petersburg Interfaith Association.

Parade begins at Third Aveue S and Dr. Martin Luther King Street, proceeds north to Central Avenue, east to Bayshore Drive NE and north to Fifth Avenue NE before disbanding at Vinoy Park.
