A Crystal River road that has been closed for a while is set to open up Friday or early next week.

According to our partners at the Citrus County Chronicle, construction workers have made Northeast 11th Street wider and shored it up to handle extra weight.

The work is taking place on the section of the road between North Citrus Avenue and Northeast Third Street. The road leads to a new bottled water business, so it must be capable of handling trucks with heavy loads.

The city of Crystal River asked the developer to cover the extra costs for that so it wouldn't come out of the city's budget.
