Drivers who passed by Renzo's restaurant at the intersection of W. Kennedy Blvd. and S. Sterling Avenue in Tampa on Saturday evening couldn't help but stare.

There it was -- an $150,000 black Lamborghini fully engulfed in flames.

According to police, the driver, a 32-year-old man, did not own the car but was considering purchasing it when he smelled smoke. The driver pulled over around 4:53 p.m. in the parking lot of Renzo's and noticed flames coming from the engine compartment in the rear of the vehicle.

Once crews arrived, the sports car was completely engulfed in flames. They immediately began fighting the fire, and evacuating the restaurant.

The remains: a charred frame of a car that was easily every man's dream.

Investigators were able to determine the fire resulted from a failure within the engine compartment.

Fortunately, there were no injuries or criminal activity, police said.
