Emergency road repairs are taking place today in Bradenton.
City crews have shutdown the intersection of 9th Avenue West and 16th Street to remove a valve at the intersection that has been leaking. At the same time, crews will complete work on an ongoing water main project.
Because workers will have to excavate for this job, 9th Avenue will be closed between 15th Street West and 22nd Street West.
The roadway is expected to be closed until 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
