Norman Roy received a proclamation from the city of Zephyrhills for turning 103 years old during his birthday.

This year Roy celebrated his birthday three times with friends and family.

Norman was a professional boxer when he was 19 years old. After he decided to stop boxing he coached high school sports.

He now spends his golden years at the Westbrook Manor Assisted Living facility with no health issues.

Norman was in complete shock when he learned he was receiving the proclamation.

Hey says he's lived a long life because he was always active when he was young.

His advice to today’s generation is to stay healthy and active.

“No smoking, no drinking alcohol and stay in sports,” said Roy.

Norman has two daughters, eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
