The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has released surveillance video deputies say shows 33-year-old Justin Lee Colby striking his pregnant girlfriend with a car.

According to the sheriff's office, Colby used his 2006 Dodge Charger to hit Crystal Noordhuizen, 32, as she walked on the shoulder of Westwood Drive near Sun Toyota off U.S. 19 Monday afternoon.

Colby then ran off from the scene, authorities said.

Noordhuizen, who is seven months pregnant, was not seriously injured.

According to a sheriff's office affidavit, the couple was arguing just after 1 p.m. at their Westwood Drive home when Noordhuizen left the residence. She was walking to a nearby area to meet a friend who was going to pick her up.

While walking, Noordhuizen received a call phone from Colby, deputies said.

Investigators said Colby said "Are you ready for your abortion date?" and then drove his car off the road, striking her.

He then got out of the vehicle - did not help her - and ran off, deputies said. Noordhuizen identified Colby and his vehicle to authorities and said he was aware of her pregnancy.

Authorities said Colby ran to his home nearby and then left from there on a motorcycle.

Raffy Esteves, who works at the Toyota dealership, saw the crash and was among those who responded to Noordhuizen.

"I ran to her," he said. "She said 'I'm really scared.' I asked the guy, 'Yo what are you doing?' And he just stormed towards his house."

Witnesses say he was hollering as he walked off.

“He said I know I’m going to jail, I know I’m going to jail but not now and he ran up the street got his motorcycle and headed out,” said Donna Gutherie.

Colby has been charged with two counts of attempted homicide.
