After a cold start Thursday, the Bay area will see a nice, sunny afternoon.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez, morning conditions that started with frost advisory in the northern counties will switch to cool sunshine later today.

"We had a cold start with temperatures in the 30s today in Citrus, Hernando and parts of Pasco," Marquez said. "But we will have mostly to partly sunny skies by this afternoon and temperatures in the upper 60s."

Conditions won't be as cold tonight and temperatures will be warmer Friday and for Gasparilla on Saturday.

High temperatures will be in the mid 70s by Sunday.
