For the third time this month, a tip to Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay has helped nab a grow house, deputies say, resulting in one arrest and $76,000 worth of seized marijuana.

After receiving the tip, detectives investigated and later obtained and executed a search warrant at 3207 Ehrlich Road in Tampa.

Detectives said they located one room converted for the sole purpose of cultivating marijuana.

They recovered 21 marijuana plants which were growing inside soil-filled pots along with equipment used in the cultivation process. Total weight of marijuana seized was 38 pounds with an estimated street value of $76,000, detectives said.

TECO representatives responded to the residence and located an illegal meter connection that was providing unauthorized electrical power with an estimated theft of $8,400, deputies said.

Luis Quinones, 47, was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, cultivation of marijuana, own-lease-rent for purposes of trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia and grand theft of electricity.
