Two King High students were arrested Friday morning after deputies said a fight broke out that left two other students with stab wounds.

One of the 17-year-old students is facing charges of aggravated battery, possession of a weapon on school campus and carrying a concealed weapon.  The other 17-year-old student is facing charges of battery and possession of marijuana.

Deputies said the teenagers were standing outside waiting for school to begin, and that at some point one of the students thought two other girls were laughing at her.  The girls began arguing, and it soon became physical, deputies said.

All four girls got involved in the fight, which is when one of the suspects pulled out a folding knife with a two-inch blade. Deputies said the suspect cut one of the girls near her left eye and stabbed her in the chest, then cut the other girl near her right shoulder.

Both students were taken to a local hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.

The students were taken to into custody by the school resource officer, officials said.

Bay News 9 is not releasing the identities of the arrested students because it is not yet known if they will be charged as adults.
