Tampa police have released sketch of a suspect in two recent stabbing along a busy street.

Because the descriptions of the suspects are similar, police believe they're looking for the same man in both stabbings.

They describe him as white or Hispanic, 20 to 30 years old, 5 foot 7 and 120 pounds and having dark, curly hair. They believe he lives in the area.

Both attacks happened in the 4700 block of Armenia near Osborne Avenue. The first attack occurred Dec. 27 and the second last week. Both were at night, between 8:30 and 9:30.

Police say a woman was waiting for a bus last week when a man approached her asking about the bus. When she turned away, he stabbed her in the neck, seriously injuring her.

With the first attack, a woman was walking along Armenia when the suspect approached her from behind and stabbed her in the chest. She received serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Police said the man was wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans.

Authorities are cautioning residents in the area to be extra cautious and report any suspicious activity.
