The weather this weekend for the Gasparilla Pirate Fest and Super Bowl Sunday doesn't look bad at all.

Today will be partly cloudy and mild, with afternoon highs in the low 70s, and Sunday will be partly cloudy and a little warmer. There's no rain in the forecast for either day, according to Bay News 9 meteorologist Josh Linker.

"We're still looking at a bit of a breeze, but it will definitely be less windy that it has been the last few days," Linker said. "If you're thinking about getting out on the boat - and lot of folks will today, with Gasparilla - it's still going to be breezy, so you'll want to be aware of that."

The next cold front arrives Monday behind a band of behind a band of showers that will push the rain chance up to 40 percent. Temperatures will drop a few degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday before a slightly stronger front arrives Thursday, according to the Bay News 9 7-day-forecast.
